September 30-October 2, Quito

Agriflor 2019 focusing on new exporting smaller Ecuadorian flower growers

In 3 months’ time, Agriflor will open its doors to the flower buyers of the world. Many exhibitors will be first timers - flower growers that are in the industry for a long time already, but who are not exporting directly yet and now want to start doing so. A great chance for both them and the buyers to explore new opportunities.

Additionally, Agriflor will be focusing this year on different trading flower types than roses only. Reason why the theme of this year’s Agriflor is: Sourcing Different Flowers From Different Growers. Furthermore, especially smaller Ecuadorian flower growers are exhibiting at this edition, who mainly produced and sold their flowers through brokers until now, but now are ready and willing to export directly and therefore eager to meet with international buyers that will attend the show.

The connection with the other flower fair in Colombia gives international buyers a great opportunity to visit both shows in one trip, without much extra travel costs, nor spend much extra time traveling to both Ecuador and Colombia. It takes just 1.5 hours to fly from Quito to Bogota and there are many flights per day. The show in Quito starts on Monday and lasts until Wednesday. Visitors that want to visit Agriflor can arrive on Sunday evening or Monday morning and then easily fly on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning to Bogota to attend the other flower show.
