Cyclamen Super Serie Crayon will be shown for the first time during the Cyclamen Open Days of Schoneveld Breeding. Crayon is characterized by its unique colour pattern that is reminiscent of a piece of chalk (or crayon). This year Crayon is still pre-introduction and therefore not freely available, the introduction is in 2020/2021.
What is Crayon?
Crayon is a new mini Cyclamen with a compact/round plant structure and it produces many flowers. Crayon can be grown like a Verano. The first two colours that are introduced are Wine Red and Salmon. Crayon performs well in warm conditions and has a good shelf life.
Crayon is mainly characterized by the colour pattern that is reminiscent of a piece of chalk.
“When you draw over white paper with a piece of crayon (or chalk), the colour does not cover up the white sheet of paper completely. Instead, you still see kind of white pixels. It looks like white petals have been coloured by hand with a piece of crayon.”
At the moment Crayon is still pre-introduction and therefore only available to a limited extent, the introduction is in 2020/2021.
Cyclamen Super Serie
Cyclamen Super Serie is Schoneveld Breeding's umbrella brand for Cyclamen persicum. Super Serie is characterized by a round plant structure, sturdy flower stems and uniform growth/flowering.
In the 2019-2020 season, Super Serie consists of 19 different series, which means the breeder can provide all common pot sizes from 6 cm (2.5 “) to 17 cm (8”). The genetics is also suitable for multiple flowering periods, they have various options from August to March (year-round in the USA).
Besides Cyclamen Super Series, Schoneveld Breeding has the following products: Primula Touch Me, Primula Paradiso, Primula Perola, Ranunculus Sprinkles and Campanula Florentes.
