US (GA): Nominations being accepted for industry awards

GGIA is now accepting nominations for their annual awards to be announced during GGIA's WinterGreen Annual Kick-Off Breakfast on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

Do you know someone who is making a difference for the industry? By nominating them in one of the following categories you can be sure that they receive the special recognition they deserve.

Jake Tinga Distinguished Professional of the Year: An annual award given to the professional who contributed the most to the advancement of the industry in Georgia.

Jake Tinga Young Professional of the Year: This award is given for outstanding success in the field of environmental horticulture and is offered as an inspiration to others starting out in the field. The candidate must be under 35 years of age or have been involved in the industry for less than ten years.

Educator of the Year: Honors the individual who made an outstanding contribution to ornamental horticultural research and promotion of the industry through academic endeavors.

Environmental Friend of the Industry: This award honors an individual outside of the horticulture industry who endeavors to promote the industry.

Communicator of the Year: Honoring an individual who best served the horticulture industry in Georgia through the media.

Vivian Munday/Buck Jones Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award: Honors an individual for a lifetime of achievement and contributions to the industry. Click here to make your nomination today.
