Two new colors join the Beacon® Impatiens series of disease-resistant I. walleriana: Blue Pearl and Light Pink. Beacon continues to make an impact in shade gardens around the world, and the purchase of Beacon Impatiens seed helps support a new charity each year through its “Shine the Light” campaign. For 2025, Dr. Allan Armitage (left) submitted esp, Inc. (Extra Special People) in Athens, Georgia, USA, as one of the charitable recipients. Dr. A stands with global director of PanAmerican Seed sales  Sean Valk who is pleased about the season-long collaboration to bring awareness to esp.

CAST 2025 welcomed guests to a Carnival of Color at Sakata. "With an exciting and engaging carnival theme throughout the greenhouse, visitors found new thrills around every corner. We were very excited to collaborate for the second time, with local Monterey graphic designer and muralist, Brennen Handley of Two Wolf Designs, who spent weeks designing and painting our greenhouse windows and outdoing himself from the last year."
CAST 2025 welcomed guests to a Carnival of Color at Sakata. "With an exciting and engaging carnival theme throughout the greenhouse, visitors found new thrills around every corner. We were very excited to collaborate for the second time, with local Monterey graphic designer and muralist, Brennen Handley of Two Wolf Designs, who spent weeks designing and painting our greenhouse windows and outdoing himself from the last year."
Along with several window murals, Brennen also designed Sakata's 20th anniversary SunPatiens® logo to help celebrate the milestone. This logo was featured throughout the greenhouse, including on a ferris wheel drawing viewers to the SunPatiens display."

At the new varieties disply, guests could grab popcorn while taking in Sakata's Candy Tops snapdragon Champagne, new pansy and viola varieties displayed as skee-ball, Calipetite® Pink Splash could be found floating in the duck pond carnival game, SuperCal® Premium Coral Star and Yellow Sun Imp. were featured as fun slides, new SunPatiens varieties and an improved Profusion Double zinnia could be found throughout the display. To top it off, Sakata's brand new AAS winner, Flamma Celosia Pink could be found in rings of fire, floating in the sky. Guests were also able to enjoy a 360 photobooth that featured the New Varieties, Playlist™, and SunPatiens displays.
