General meeting of San Diego County Cymbidium Society on Jan. 15:

US (CA): Laelia species and their culture

The San Diego County Cymbidium Society will have a general meeting this Wednesday, January 15 at the San Marcos Senior Activity Center. Meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public.

Peter Lin is scheduled to speak about “Laelia Species and Their Culture”. His presentation will showcase the major Laelia species, their various color forms, and how to grow them.

Peter is an accredited judge with the American Orchid Society and a hybridizer of mini-Cattleyas. He grows orchids in three small greenhouses at his home in Southern California, outdoors, as well as an offsite greenhouse. His orchids have received numerous AOS awards.

He has written articles for Orchid Digest and Orchids magazines and frequently gives talks at various orchid societies.

The San Marcos Senior Activity Center is located at 111 Richmar Ave.
