Chelsea Flower Show to bring in new category for houseplants

The Chelsea Flower Show will introduce a houseplant category this year in a bid to appeal to a younger generation.

The show will include six houseplant studios which suppliers and designers can dress to be judged by industry experts. 

Helena Pettit, director of shows at the Royal Horticultural Society, said people are increasingly recognising how indoor greenery can enhance homes, workplaces and hospitals – both in terms of our wellbeing and in helping improve air quality.
