November 12-14, Istanbul

Turkey: Flower and Plant Show focuses on international market

The 12th annual The Flower and Plant Show takes place on November 12-14. Organized by Tarsus Turkey in cooperation with the Ornamental Plant Producers Sub-Association (SÜSBİR) - the voice of 5,000 producers - the event is one of the most prominent specialized fairs in Eurasia for the plant and landscaping sector. The 2020 Show will be held at Tüyap Beylikdüzü, in an exhibition area spanning 30,000 square metres and featuring local and international producers. Standing out with its extensive product range, the Show delivers sector innovations ranging from indoor and outdoor ornamental plants to flower and floristry materials, seedlings and seeds, vertical garden applications, exotic trees, national plants, irrigation equipment, landscape applications and garden accessories.

According to Tarsus Turkey Fair Director Mustafa Gültekin Gökgül, the annual The Flower and Plant Show brings together the producers, suppliers, investors and buyers of the Turkish ornamental plants sector, which indirectly employs approximately 500,000 people. Mr. Gökgül noted that, “For the last few years, the sector has turned to export. At this point, our Fair is seen as the most important foreign trade address. We organize the Flower and Plant Show to serve this purpose. Last year, we hosted millions of dollars of trade, hosting professional visitors from 48 countries, including Iran, Bulgaria, Georgia, Tunisia, Italy, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon and Germany. The November event, our twelfth show, will continue to create significant added value for the sector's exports."

The Flower and Plant Show offers an opportunity to establish new collaborations with hundreds of companies in the sector. The Fair’s visitors, predominantly including representatives from nursery and plant production enterprises, floristry and landscaping application companies, and garden centres, as well as the public, plant and flower wholesalers, exporters, importers and suppliers, will have a platform for direct trade with thousands of purchasing professionals.

The Flower and Plant Show, hosting stakeholders in the Ornamental Plants and Landscaping Sector together under one roof, will highlight sector agendas as well as the wide-ranging product variety to be exhibited in 2020. During the three-day fair, SÜSBİR, the umbrella organization for the sector, along with associations, unions and exhibitor representatives, will hold a series of panels, sessions and conferences.
