The TulipMixStar sorts and bundles tulips in color combination with its innovative x-ray technology. At full capacity, the machine is capable of processing 28,000 tulips per hour. With the LED indication on the squares, it is possible to make bouquets consisting of 2 to 10 colors each hour directly from the conveyor belt. The speed, adjusted to the labor needed, makes the investment viable for bouquet- and export companies.
The leaves on the conveyor belt are kept continually stretched by using an air stream during the bundling of the stems in the bouquets. Besides sorting bouquets, the TulipMixStar also sorts the tulips by length and/or weight. The sorting of ripe tulips is also one of the possibilities. The TulipMixStar can be equipped with up to 10 laying places.
