Australia: 'Non-essential' industry - COVID-19 update

Following the National Cabinet implementing a shutdown of non-essential activity across Australia, the NGIV have been fielding a number of enquiries from members seeking clarification as to whether their businesses are deemed to be ‘non-essential activity’.

The association has been, and will continue to, communicate regularly with the Victorian Government to seek clarity on this. At this stage, the sector is not classified as ‘non-essential’ and therefore remains open to trade.
