DVFlora has decided to temporarily shut down due to the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the US. Jack Chidester, President and CEO of DVFG, announced this in a statement that was shared by DVFlora on Facebook.
"The COVID-19 outbreak has created incredible challenges and consequences as well as changed the course of our daily life. Our lives and our businesses have all been affected in ways we could not have imagined just days ago.
"This past week, our industry suffered severe sales declines, as did many American businesses. We had been working diligently on plans to keep servicing our customers during this unprecedented time. Over the course of the last two days, the Governors of California, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey have each ordered statewide shut downs of non-essential businesses. Due to the government mandates and our obligation to protect the health of our communities, we feel our only responsible choice is to temporarily shut down effective immediately.
"We know these are unprecedented, difficult and uncertain times and we are taking every possible action to reopen as soon as possible. On behalf of us at DVFlora, we hope that you and your families remain healthy and safe. We will keep you informed as soon as we have updated information on our ability to reopen and to resume serving you again."
For those of you seeking some distraction from bad news, DVFlora also has something more uplifting to share: the Game of Thorns tournament is still ongoing, as it enters round 4.
