Positive market development at Veiling Rhein-Maas

Veiling Rhein-Maas has reported a positive market development in the last few days, which is expected to continue towards Easter in the following week. The weather forecast for the next two weeks, including Easter, is very good with expected temperatures of over 20 °C. Many end consumers are at home now and want to decorate their garden and house. The auction also received the positive news that the hardware stores and garden centers in Lower Saxony will be open to private customers again from Saturday. With this, Lower Saxony is following the regulations in other Federal States. In order to steer these positive trends in the right direction for the marketplace and to organise everything well for suppliers and customers, Veiling Rhein-Maas is unfortunately forced to take more restrictive measures. The goal here is to keep a steady price level at the clock by a coordinated product range.

Monitoring and control of the supply quantities
In the light of the latest auction days, it is necessary to implement measures concerning the quantity of potted plants. The auction once again points out to suppliers that an exceedance of the weekly supply report is not permitted. Only those quantities which have been registered and approved in the weekly supply report may be supplied. Suppliers who have already supplied this week without the weekly supply report or have exceeded their reported supply quantity will be contacted personally in this regard. Employees will control the supplied quantities with increased intensity from now on.

The auction strongly requests that you follow this procedure. In case of non-compliance, they are sadly forced to take the following measures:

  • Veiling Rhein-Maas will charge the supplier with € 20.00 per load carrier for an unauthorized supply, as provided in the supplier rates.
  • The goods won’t be marketed. The supplier has the opportunity to collect his unauthorized supply from Straelen-Herongen within 24 hours.
  • If the supplier does not follow this request, the goods will be disposed and the supplier will be charged with the disposal fee.

Distribution in the 'Teilkarren-Lager'
Within the framework of the current hygiene regulations and protective measures, Veiling Rhein-Maas is currently forced to deploy fewer employees in the 'Teilkarren-Lager'. Therefore, please understand that distribution in the 'Teilkarren-Lager' currently takes longer if many single lots are purchased. Veiling Rhein-Maas asks customers, if it is possible for them to buy more than one lot – especially at Clock pre sales – to speed up the distribution process. They therefore recommend suppliers to supply primarily large and sample lots. Veiling Rhein-Maas will also take measures in regard depending on the situation and demand, e.g. auctioning more than one lot or adjust the auction order, to positively influence the distribution in the `Teilkarren-Lager´.

Protective panels at the auction room
In order to increase the safety in the auction room in Straelen-Herongen for those customers who are unable to use Remote Buying, protective panels are currently being installed at the seats. These are expected to be available at all seats in the auction room on Monday.
