As part of a strategy to strengthen its activities in the strategically important European bedding market, Danziger is excited to welcome onboard Focco Prins, who joined the company as an additional Sales Manager in the European market in August.
Located in Netherlands, Focco will concentrate on maximizing demand for Danziger genetics along the value chain, at both the grower and retailer level.
Beginning his career in 1991 with the Chrysanthemum Breeders
Association, Focco brings extensive international experience in the cut flowers, pot & bedding plants industry, and has worked in companies such as Royal Van Zanten, Dümmen Orange, Queen, Floritec and more.
For over 17 years, his main focus was the Asian market, where he advised and connected foreign companies. He used to be in Asia for more than half of the year and when the travelling all stopped due to COVID-19, this opportunity came exactly at the right moment. "I know the owners Gabi and Micha Danziger since I entered the floriculture industry, so for almost 30 years now, and for over the last 5 years, I've been working closely together with them and the Danziger team in Colombia for the Queen cut kalanchoes", Focco says. "So, when they asked me for this position, it wasn't a hard decision to make."

In his new role at Danziger, Focco will be responsible for cultivating business relations with retailers and retail growers' across Europe. He is excited to use his global knowledge that he gained over the years for the European annual and perennial market. "There is still much to gain in the European bedding plant market and I am glad that I can support Danziger to gain a stronger foothold in this continent", Focco says.
