Commercial growers of ornamental plants are popularly used plant growth regulators like as a part of cultural practice. Plant growth regulators have quicker effect on vegetative as well as flower yield of flowering crops. One of the most advantage of plant growth regulator is that it will take less time to treat the plant and environment friendly.
Plant growth regulators efficiency affected by various factors in which one of the most factor is method of application play an important role in the efficiency of plant growth regulators as PGRs can be effective if properly absorbed by plants. Use of plant growth hormones in flower crops should be specific and a plant growth regulator must be having toxic free and environmental friendly action.
The physiological activities of flowering crops affected by the applied plant growth regulators and finally growth and flower production in flowering crops affected by plant growth regulators. In the present overview, we discuss the types of plant growth regulators and its effect in flowering crops.
