Kwintplant buys nursery of Chrysantenkwekerij Aad Persoon

As of March 1, the garden of Chrysantenkwekerij Aad Persoon is under new ownership from Kwintplant. They plan convert the nursery into a greenhouse suitable for the cultivation of potted plants. As we speak, Greenhouse Demolition has started dismantling work, the entirety will get a concrete floor and from the summer, according to the planning, they hope to start potting the first plants again.

With the purchase, Kwintplant grows about 2.5 hectares net. Aad's nursery at Wateringseweg 47 in Poeldijk measures 4.7 hectares, but at the same time both a rental greenhouse and the location at Molenbroeklaan 17 in Honselersdijk will be divested.

A wonderful outcome, says Edwin Duijvestijn of Kwintplant. “We had been looking for a suitable extension for some time. The condition was that it was nearby and that the access to the auction had to be good. Aad's nursery was in the silent sale, it was just a matter of keeping your eyes open. ”

At the new location, Kwintplant will continue with the cultivation of pot and bedding plants in the same manner. "We will continue to do what we already did, but of course a little better each time. And a little bigger."

The purchase was supervised by Vollebregt-Barten and Wim Duijvestijn Totaaladvies; Aad Persoon plans to stop growing, but was not available for comment at the time of publication.
