Ontario's resources on using natural enemies

Sarah Jandricic, OMAFRA, and Michael Short, Eco Habitat, hosted "IPM 101: Biocontrol Learning Series - The Basics of IPM in Floriculture" on March 2nd. They offered excellent information for growers and two of the many resources that they shared are very helpful for growers implementing biological control programs:

"Grower Guide: Quality Assurance of Biocontrol Products" - Dr. Rose Buitenhuis at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre developed a guide on how to check the quality of 28 different species of natural enemies used in biological control programs. Download the guide.

"All the Right Ways to Release Biocontrol Agents in the Greenhouse" - Dr. Rose Buitenhuis, Dr. Sarah Jandricic, Ashley Summerfield, and Cara McCreary published an article in Greenhouse Canada Magazine that includes a 5-minute video demonstrating how to release biological control agents in your crops. Read the article and watch the video.
