The Floradania Virtual Trade Fair went live today, at March 16. The event gives an overview of a broad variety of the assortment that the Danish growers have to offer for the spring and a new platform for contacting the entire industry.

"If customers cannot go to the trade fair, the trade fair must come to customers." Based on many years of success, this is the idea at the heart of an exciting new initiative on the part of Denmark’s gardeners. The fair will feature a comprehensive presentation of Denmark’s range of plants in the trade fair tradition of the Danish nursery industry. Take, for example, the joint Danish stand at IPM Essen, which always receives a lot of visitors, and the four Danish seasonal sales fairs under the heading of ‘The Trade Fair for Pot Plants’.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 has led to the cancellation of one trade fair after another. It has created a new need for finding out what is happening in a market where the demand for plants has almost never been greater.
The Floradania Virtual Trade Fair is an easy, efficient way to gain an overview of Denmark’s range of plants on a single shared platform. In fact, it is exactly like the Danish joint stand at IPM Essen, but without the coffee and chocolate!
Explore 30 nurseries
When you check in at the digital fair, a friendly hostess will welcome you and introduce you to the various options you can visit. You can join a seller or a producer if you share your screenshots via e.g.Teams, or you can explore the 30 exhibitors who are presenting their products at the fair.
Each exhibitor has their own virtual stand, featuring a brief introduction to the nursery and a list of current products. The biggest stands also screen short films about the nursery. If you click on one of the products, you will see a magnified image of the plant with all the relevant information.
Checklist and live chat
The virtual trade fair has a feature that enables you to create a check- or favourite list as you go. You can use this later as the basis for a discussion with a sales company or producer. This means you will not miss out on anything during your visit to the Floradania Virtual Trade Fair and can gather an abundance of inspiration for your spring range.
The platform also features an overview of all nurseries and sales companies in Denmark. So, if you are looking for more companies, they are easy to find. During the fair, which runs from 16 to 19 March 2021, you can contact the organisers directly, which means you do not have to wait for ages to ask your questions. Following the actual days of the fair, the Floradania Virtual Trade Fair will still be available as a showcase for Danish plants.
