A new international participant has joined Floriade Expo 2022: Japan. Floriade is delighted with this official confirmation of the country’s participation. Japan, like the other participants, will exhibit its vision of a healthy green city and its culture at the Expo in Almere in 2022.
Japanese horticulture and flowers
The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries says that the country wants to show typical horticultural and agricultural techniques that Japan is proud of. Japanese floral splendor and culture will also be exhibited by, among other things, bringing ‘ikebana’ to Floriade. ‘Ikebana’ is the Japanese art of making flower arrangements with beautiful compositions. Japan wants to promote its flower exports and green technologies and further strengthen its ties with the Netherlands through its participation in Floriade.
