What is the ideal supply maturity for cyclamen?

In response to a growers' question about the VBN supply maturity for cyclamen, Peter Rodenrijs on behalf of Royal FloraHolland asked the national Cyclamen committee to issue an advice.

Reasons for the change are:

The wish for sale is to supply the plants (slightly) more mature;
Genetics have improved over the years (more flowers);
The maturity per flower type (large, midi, and single-flowered) is now uniform. This is adjusted per flower type;
The last update Cyclamen VBN supply script is 20 years old (and also the VBN photos).
The (old) VBN regulations until now were for all flower types:

Stage 1 1-3 open flowers
Stage 2 4-7 open flowers
Stage 3 8-11 open flowers
Stage 4 more than 11 open flowers

Approved VBN supply regulations
The VBN steering group has responded positively to the proposal as described below. The cyclamen are supplied slightly more mature and there are differences per flower type. The new VBN supply regulations will take effect on 1 August or 1 September, depending on the new photo series. Below is the approved proposal:

Supply maturity large-flowered

Stage 1 2-4 open flowers
Stage 2 5-7 open flowers
Stage 3 8-10 open flowers
Stage 4 more than 11 open flowers

Supply maturity small-flowered

Stage 1 2-5 open flowers
Stage 2 6-10 open flowers
Stage 3 11-15 open flowers
Stage 4 more than 16 open flowers

Supply maturity midi

Stage 1 2-4 open flowers
Stage 2 5-8 open flowers
Stage 3 9-12 open flowers
Stage 4 over 13 open flowers

Regarding the quality requirements per batch, the following applies: of the number of opened flowers, at least three quarters must be above the crop. The quality requirement "At least 5 flower buds must be present under the foliage" will be dropped.
