Dümmen Orange entrusts L&M Group sale of end products roses and gerberas

Dümmen Orange and Dutch flower business L&M Group have entered into a trading agreement. As of the 19th of April, L&M Group will take over the sale of the end production of roses and gerberas from Dümmen Orange’s cut flower greenhouses in De Kwakel (NL). This collaboration further benefits growers, retailers, and florists, as L&M Group offers a total market solution for the entire cut flower market in Europe. Their market insights will additionally support Dümmen Orange in developing and selecting varieties with high ornamental and market value that meet the needs and wishes of growers and retailers.

Cooperation Dümmen Orange and L&M Group
The family-owned business L&M Group has six complementary divisions that supply all market segments in retail and wholesale. Sven Aertssen, Managing Director L&M Group on this new collaboration:  “We are very proud of this agreement with Dümmen Orange and taking over sales of their end products, as we are firm believers of this so-called ‘backward integration’. We are setting up a rather simple but sustainable supply chain for the years to come, that creates a transparent flow from grower to consumer. We are excited that we can now offer this total solution package for all customers interested in buying the magnificent Dümmen Orange roses and gerberas on the European market."

Reinoud Hagen, Managing Director Cut Flowers Dümmen Orange, on how this strategic partnership with L&M Group enables Dümmen Orange to better connect with the market: “We fully entrust the sales of our end products in roses and gerberas to L&M Group and we are sure that this strategic partnership will only affect our customers in a positive way. As we are withdrawing our direct activities from the flower auction, we bring more clarity to the market about our core activities and the prevailing focus on our breeding capabilities. And with the market knowledge from L&M Group, we can continuously develop better, more beautiful flowers that meet the needs of our worldwide customers. We continue all our other activities in the greenhouses and show garden in De Kwakel (NL) and we guarantee our customers the same high-quality plants and services that they were used to.”
