Pharmaceutical aromatic plants and ornamental plants greenhouse is established by Didim Municipality 4 years ago on an area of 54,400 square meters, where seasonal flowers are grown to decorate parks and essential oils are obtained from pharmaceutical aromatic plants.
Mayor Atabay: “The seasonal flower production, which was 150,000 in the first year, exceeded 1 million after 4 years in the greenhouse, where approximately 20 kinds of flowers are produced. In addition to seasonal flowers, we produce essential oils under the brand name 'Didyma' obtained from plants such as lavender, rosemary, laurel, lemon balm, centaury, peppermint, thyme, and eucalyptus."
