TTA releases forestry campaign ‘Growing together’ to create awareness about the environmental and economic benefits of planting more trees.
The importance of trees
“Because of deforestation, diseases and climate change, forests have been shrinking around the world. As a result, there is an increasing need for forest seedlings. Not only do trees absorb carbon dioxide but trees also provide renewable, wood-based materials, the need for which is rising strongly,” explains Geert Maris, International Sales Engineer. According to TTA, planting more trees is one of the most powerful tools to achieve these goals.
Automation
Maris explains that TTA provides the automation for the entire process from seed to deliverable plants. “Within the forestry sector, TTA is a key player when it comes to automation. Automation will always lead to lower production costs, increased greenhouse efficiency, and a higher yield.”
Worldwide, many forestry projects are already being set up to preserve, restore, or recreate forest ecosystems. “With our campaign, we hope to inspire people to take action. Together we can make a difference and make the world a better place.”
