After having been closed for months due to the coronavirus, FloriWorld will reopen this week! Exactly a year after the opening, the newest flower and plant experience in the Netherlands is again ready to welcome both domestic and international tourists.
The attraction in Aalsmeer closed its doors at the beginning of November 2020. The indoor-themed attraction about flowers and plants had a very unfortunate start due to the coronavirus. Four months earlier, the official opening took place, which should actually have happened in May 2020. Now that the coronavirus figures are decreasing fast and increasingly more measures are being phased out, both inside the Netherlands as well as for the countries around us, FloriWorld is once again opening her doors as of 1 July.
Selfies between flowers and plants
During the closed period, the people at FloriWorld have not been idle. A number of additional photo booths have been added, to allow you to take fun selfies between the flowers and plants. Just as before we closed, visitors can use an RFID chip to indicate their own personal flower and plants preferences. The favorite flowers, plants and photos will be processed into the various shows, truly making FloriWorld a personal experience.
The Experience Center for Floriculture is located on the site of the flower auction in Aalsmeer. Royal FloraHolland is one of its founding partners. FloriWorld would like to attract between 300.000 and 400.000 visitors every year. All these visitors will be able to combine this with a visit to the auction in Aalsmeer after the coronavirus crisis. The auction will reopen later this summer.
