Although eager to meet with industry members and demonstrate its hanging basket system, Metazet FormFlex will be unable to attend Cultivate’21 due to travel restrictions between Canada and the United States.
Metazet FormFlex offers a range of greenhouse equipment including gutter systems, tube rail system, crop support, spraying machines, cultivation tables, hoisting systems, wire products and hanging basket systems. Of these products, FormFlex was planning to highlight its hanging basket systems at Cultivate’21, which are used in nurseries around the world.
Of the 1,200+ hanging basket systems sold by FormFlex around the world, 80% are located in North America as a greater number of consumers actually have a front porch on which to hang a flower basket.
“We typically sell one system per greenhouse bay, but it all depends on the length and width of the greenhouse as well as the size of the baskets, how much they weigh, etc.,” says Dennis van Gaalen, at Metazet FormFlex North America.
Metazet FormFlex’s advancements in 2021
In 2020, FormFlex improved its hanging basket system to enable an even wider variety of shapes and options, allowing growers to maximize space use efficiency in the greenhouse. The hanging basket system also has an integrated lowering unit so that all operations can be done in a single place, with the baskets coming to the grower.
Moreover, FormFlex announced its new operating system in 2020 and has successfully integrated the system with 200+ clients. The operating system offers multiple features including a renewed irrigation schedule, improved speed and oil settings, ability to create cultivation layer and section division by means of RFID and “Oasis water-by-weight” in cooperation with Controll-Dekk. These features, and many more, are managed through a user-friendly interface.
While FormFlex has been unable to visit most clients during the pandemic, the company has maintained close contact through digital means and is looking forward to the impending easement of travel restrictions so that its team can resume client visits.
Keeping the Cultivate’21 spirit despite travel restrictions
Due to travel restrictions, Metazet FormFlex will not be attending Cultivate’21 but with the event being one of the horticultural industries’ largest events, Metazet FormFlex plans to maintain the Cultivate spirit by offering a special promotion throughout the month of July, whereby a Trike-400 will be raffled among the application of the Metazet FormFlex hanging basket system.
“Despite our absence at Cultivate’21, we are ready to help growers again this year with our logistics systems. The Trike-400 is a compact and maneuverable tractor with which you can easily move products from A to B, a true addition to your internal logistics,” says Dennis.
