NL: Carnation promotional campaign to continue

In a majority vote on 30 June 2021, Cut Carnation growers - members of Royal FloraHolland - approved the new Carnation campaign plan for 2021-2023.

87% of the votes cast were in favor of a follow-up to the Carnation promotion and the accompanying mandatory levy for all Royal FloraHolland suppliers of Cut Carnations.

Promotion plan 2021-2023
During the online FloraHolland Product Committee (FPC) Carnation product meeting, the 'Trendy Dianthus' Carnation Promotional campaign for 2021-2023 was outlined, with member-Cut Carnation growers voting by email from 28 June to 1 July 2021.

Under the guidance of Royal FloraHolland, the Cut Carnation growers' promotion committee has come up with an outline plan, and, with FPC Carnation's agreement, the 2021-2023 promotional plan was put to the vote.

Product Specific Promotion Scheme (PSP)
Membership representing 64% of the total Cut Carnation member turnover has voted in favor of the 'Trendy Dianthus' 2021-2023 campaign promotional plan. With this promotion scheme, all suppliers (both members and non-members of Royal FloraHolland) are contributing to the promotion of Cut Carnation. The promotion levy of 0.08% on Cut Carnation turnover will be collected at the end of each quarter from 2021 onwards, with the campaign coming to an end on 31/12/2023.

The Carnation Promotion Committee will work together in the near future to implement the follow-up of the campaign in the next few years.
