The Nevada Fern journey

Every spring, millions of Nevada Fern 'babies' are planted and sold in the US - 200 million over the last years. The plant is discovered by accident by John Bijl, director/owner of Vitroplus, and it is partly this invention that has contributed to the enormous growth of the company from Burgh-Haamstede, the Netherlands, in recent years.

Most types of the plant are sold around Mother's Day, John explains in this recently published video. John and his employees 'treat this old lady as if she were our own mother', he says, to ensure many babies will appear in years to come.
