"Log on to the 'digital backup' platform, and you can monitor the soil fertility and dry humidity in the flower greenhouse at any time, know when to water and fertilize, and the quality of the flowers will be better, and you can sell them at a good price," Zhang Haibei, who lives in Hongtu Village, Yangjie Township, Kaiyuan City, said happily. As the first person in the village to bravely try, he enjoyed the benefits of digital technology.
The growth of flowers in the park can be visualized and intelligently controlled, with real-time progress reaching the provincial authorities; growers can use their mobile phones to view monitoring data and contact experts for remote "inquiry"; pricing and trading in the origin of agricultural products can trace product quality throughout the entire process in Kaiyuan City. In the modern agricultural industrial park, the flower industry has achieved more intelligence and quality in digital empowerment. Kaiyuan has also become the first city in the country to use the "digital back-up" platform city of the entire digital flower industry chain.
In recent years, Kaiyuan City has continuously stepped up agricultural reforms, based on high-end flower industry as the basis for digital agriculture implementation, with the help of digitization, big data, Internet and other technologies to create a digital platform for the entire digital flower industry chain, integrating and connecting all nodes of the flower industry chain. It realizes industrial supply and demand allocation and precise docking, forming an industrial cluster integrating seed source research and development, seedling breeding, high-quality flower planting, cold chain logistics, Internet sales, etc., adding new impetus to local economic growth. Up to now, the park has signed agreements with 25 well-known flower companies at home and abroad. In the first half of this year, the core area of the park produced and sold 242 million fresh cut flowers, 265 million seedlings, and 3 million pots. The park achieved a flower output value of 870 million RMB.
While improving the efficiency of production management, the park has also established a traceability system that connects greenhouses, solar greenhouses, and field management, and opens up transaction links to create a digital flower origin trading platform to promote product classification, centralized trading, and large-scale logistics distribution. At present, the park has basically achieved product quality traceability and the entire process of cold chain transportation of flowers and has established "Flower Origin Direct Supply and Distribution Centers" in Beijing, Chengdu, Wuxi, and Kaiyuan. In addition, it continues to increase scientific and technological innovation research and development. The 36 new rose varieties developed are extremely competitive in the market, and more than 20 new varieties of chrysanthemum are cultivated every year, breaking the long-term monopoly of foreign chrysanthemum varieties. The data of different categories of flowers forms a core production database, which provides basic data support for cultivating independent provenance sources.
At the same time, the deep integration of agriculture, culture, tourism, and health care represented by flowers has been promoted, and a number of rural tourism projects have been welcomed by tourists.
