Dutch flowers were a crowd pleaser at French florist event

Florist events (too) have begun anew in France. Salon Novafleur was held in Tours, France, on October 3 and 4. Flower Circus was present to draw attention to Dutch growers and breeders. They did so in typical Flower Circus fashion. John Elstgeest shares this short (photo) report.

Stefan van Berlo is the Belgian champion and a flower magician. He specially attended the event. He made arrangements with the growers and breeders' products. Stephan's true artistry was clear in the pieces he created. And in the crowd his stand drew much attention.

You still have to wear a mask in France. But, the atmosphere at the event was as it always is. It was great to see old friends and make new ones.

Florists were also eagerly anticipating events. That showed in the higher-than-expected number of visitors.

Florists like being surprised with new kinds of flowers. And are always on the lookout for novelties. They can then stand out from the crowd.

There were two flower arranging competitions at Novafleur. That helped make this a fun, sociable event.

These companies joined the Circus: Anthura, Deliflor Chrysanten, Chrywijk, Florein Gerbera, Lugt Lisianthus, De Opstal, DGC, and Approved Chrysant.
