On April 6th, florist Shane Connolly hosted ‘Flowers for Ukraine’, an online floristry demonstration. He hoped to raise over £10,000 for the British Red Cross Society’s Ukraine Crisis Appeal. And he did! The event, supported by Flowers from the Farm, even raised £20,615 so far - and donations are still being made on the JustGiving page by people keen to watch the video recording of Shane’s floral demonstration.
1124 people have generously donated to date, and 875 watched live as Shane created six beautiful designs using sustainable floristry techniques and the fresh spring cut flowers and foliages donated by members of Flowers from the Farm including Roots Family Farm Shop, PlantPassion, Fieldhouse Flowers, Bride and Bloom, Kat’s Cutting Garden, Bonterre Blooms, Hope and Glory Flower Company and Gentle Blooms.
"We are incredibly grateful to the team from Unique Media, who generously filmed, live-streamed, recorded, and handled all the tech for the event for free", the team of Flowers from the Farms says.
"We would like to thank everyone for their support in helping raise such a wonderful sum. 100% of the money donated has gone directly to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal."
