"Sustainable farms will exhibit on Expo Flor Ecuador 2022"

Roses and flowers produced in Ecuador are not only beautiful and unique; they also preserve the oxygen of our planet. Under Flor Ecuador Certified, which was established in 2005 as a social and sustainable scheme, 102 Ecuadorian companies are committed to the environment. They have strict control over proper waste disposal to reduce the environmental impact of flower production, use renewable resources carefully, and comply with environmental regulations. Recently, these farms have also joined the Ecuadorian Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition’s Zero Carbon Program, which promotes the quantification, reduction, and neutrality of greenhouse gasses in more than 2,600 productive acres by 2030.

With this effort, it is estimated that 64% of the country's flower production will promote actions to move towards more sustainable, low-carbon, and resilient production processes.

In the past 17 years, Flor Ecuador Certified flower companies have standardized their production processes, improving the economic, social, and labor conditions of more than 28,000 families.

These farms will be participating as exhibitors at Expo Flor Ecuador 2022. We encourage you to meet them on October 5 - 6 - 7 and be part of this amazing action. You can also contribute to our planet by offering your clients low-carbon produced flowers.
