Grower uses cow urine as fertiliser

Tree grower Henri Buitenhuis uses cow urine at his company in Boskoop. He uses it to fertilize his shrubs and conifers. Hanskamp linked the grower to a dairy farmer who uses a special cow toilet to separate urine from manure. This allows the tree grower to use the urine for mixing in his water basin.

The separation of manure and urine at the dairy farmers prevent nitrogen emissions.
