In Yalova, which is one of the most important cities in the production of ornamental plants in Türkiye, the sector started 2023 with a significant increase in exports. In the first 2 months of 2023, exports increased by 90.5 % compared to the same period of the previous year. The ornamental plants sector in Yalova is increasing its production day by day. With the increase in production, there is an increase in the number of products sent abroad from the region. The ornamental plant sector, which reached the highest figure from Yalova last year with an export of 5.5 million USD in 2022, started the year 2023 on a strong note. Growers from Yalova that exported 606,000 USD in the same period of the previous year exported 1.15 million USD worth of ornamental plants abroad in the first 2 months of 2023. As a result, the expectation is that the sector, which increases its exports every year, is expected to set a new record for 2023.
