New sales and marketing software for the floriculture industry

Digital category management has been an important component in the horticultural sector for several years. However, the skills required to create successful category plans often aren't accessible to everyone in the floricultural sector. Developing profitable sales concepts demands not just careful assortment planning but also graphic skills, which can often be costly or unavailable.

The network of Dutch growers and retailers relies on user-friendly software for daily communication with buyers. Plant offers and marketing concepts can be visually composed within minutes using the "Floraconcepts" software. "By using Floraconcepts, we can visualize the wishes of our customers in no time at all, and thus, develop sales concepts that align with the market, together with the customer," says Siegfried Bunnik, Managing Director at Bromelia Specialist.

Efficient communication tool for purchasing and sales
In a multi-link sales chain, it is often a challenge to accurately translate sales concepts from idea to practice. "Our customers gratefully accept the visual presentation of our plant range," says Bob Hoogerdijk, Managing Director of Hoogeveen Plants in the Netherlands. "With the software, we can digitally stock garden center tables with plants and present the result directly to buyers," Hoogerdijk said.

In the Netherlands, the software's fundamental technology is now also being utilized for consumer garden bed planners." Digitally compiling one's own garden border is not only fun but also ensures that consumers are optimally informed and advised in plant selection," explains Bob Hoogerdijk of Hoogeveen Plants.

Configuring combinations of plants and pots
The software allows users to visualize not only carriers and garden center tables but also the creation of product series – and innovations – within the software itself. "Where we used to have to wait for the ceramic pot from the factory, we do now combine new product series in Floraconcepts with ease," emphasizes Siegfried Bunnik, Managing Director at Bromelia Specialist, "this ensures that we can work forward in a long-term and customer-oriented way."

Continuous product development with a true look to the future
Although the software has been on the market for five years, users can look forward to many new features, especially this year: new AI technologies are being tested and wisely integrated by Floraconcepts' software developers.
