India Florist Association held its 5th annual conference in New Delhi

"A collective effort to get the Indian flower industry out of the recession"

IFA held its fifth two-day annual conference at Radfison Blue Hotel, Paschim Vihar, in New Delhi on July 31 and August 1, 2023. This annual meet is about the theme 'Blooming Together', and around 249 retail florists, floral decorators, suppliers to florists, and flower growers from all over the country participated in this event.

For about 4-5 months, a team of volunteers has been working on this event. They (Sameer Rami -Gujrath, Ranjeet Mondal - Maharashtra, Kishor Varma -Madhya Pradesh, Pooja Singhania, Naved Ahamad -Uttar Pradesh, Sanket Lath - Karnataka, Anshu Mali -Jharkhand Anand Kumar, etc.) put great efforts to make this event successful. "The main objective of the conference is to make collective efforts to get the Indian flower industry out of the recession and connect florists and flower growers directly to end customers through the internet," said Anand Kumar, president of IFA.

Shrikant Kanoi, Director of Ethereal Celebration Management and vice president of IFA, inspired all attendees with his audio-visual informative presentation on floral design, color composition. His presentation was followed by many growth and success stories of legendary florists and floral decorators like Vinit Chopra, Gandhi Laxamanan, Prashant Suraj, and Gopal Saini of India Florist Association members.

Annual awards were handed out to 15 winners in different categories like star performer - Prashant Suraj, car decor - Akash Rami, best weddings decor - S P Gandhi Laxamanan, trouser packing - Anahu Banka, floral jewelries - Lokesh Yelne, hand-tied bouquet - Uttam Sarraf( Johny), floral arrangement - Neha Pansari, an extraordinary contribution for IFA - Smeer Rami and Kishor Varma, IFA debutant Achiver - Kanupriya Mali, Ardent Participant - Dsambaga Murthi ( Babu ), Multifaceted florist - Sonali Pingle Namrata/Aditya Kabra, and IFA star performers of the year - Vineet Chopra.

States like Gujrath, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharastra registered a record of participants this year. "And threading and anchoring was done by our energetic and powerful women Pooja Singhania, director of "Heart 2 Heart" from Kolkata."
