Dutch Dune and Bulb region's certification development begins

In the Netherlands, Greenport wants to highlight the Dune and Bulb region's bulb-growing achievements in the fields of plant health, water quality, soil quality, biodiversity, energy, and climate visibility. For this, it has devised a plan to develop "regional certification" to meet the Netherlands' Rural Area Program's (ZH-PLG) goals.

Regional certification should also help growers work together to become more sustainable. "Because of rural areas' topicality and transition in the coming years, it's vital that the sector offers the government and civil society organizations insight into their state of affairs and how major tasks for the coming period will be achieved," reads the Greenport Dune and Bulb Region's website.
