In recent years, North America has played a major role in popularizing and growing the preserved nature category. And it is expected that the demand will continue to grow in the future. For this reason, Innovaflora decided to open a new company in Miami, namely Innovaflora North America. This is explained by Camilo Álvarez Gardeazábal, Marketing Director at the company. At Proflora, which took place in Bogota, Colombia, last week, they announced the opening of this new company.

30+ ha at 4 production locations
Innovaflora is a group created in 2015 that has offices and operation centers in the following locations: Tocancipá (Colombia), Quito (Ecuador), Valencia (Spain), and Tokyo (Japan). It has multiple farms of its own and allied partners in different regions of these and other countries, adding in total more than 30 hectares of crops with different varieties of plants, moss, trees, and flowers to preserve. They say they have the largest variety of preserved products in the industry and directly serve 40 countries. Innovaflora's brands are Verdissimo, well known in the US and Europe, and Florever, well known in Asia and especially in Japan.
New company in North America
Now, a new company has opened in North America. The reason? Álvarez Gardeazábal: "The growth and adoption of our product in this market have been so encouraging and sustained for the past 3 to 4 years that we have no doubts that the appetite is far from being fulfilled and that the category will continue to grow strongly for many years in this region. We believe that there is a large, unattended segment of the market, and the variety, quality, availability, and environmental benefits of our portfolio resonate with consumers in a way that makes this move the best logical step. So, we decided to invest in this region by opening 'Innovaflora North America' in Miami, the newest addition to the Holding, which will reinforce our presence and efforts in the North American market."

At the same time, they also introduced new products to their portfolio, particularly greenery, and recently developed colors and finishes for their brands Verdissimo and Florever.
Lucie de Velez Award in Sustainability and Shared Value
On top of the news they had to share during Proflora 2023, Innovaflora Colombia also received the 'Lucie de Velez Award in Sustainability and Shared Value' as a member of Asocolflores with the best formation and wellness practices oriented towards employees. "We are proud of this recognition that highlights our efforts to be the main reference in the industry in terms of social responsibility."
