Seed breeder Prudac has achieved the GSPP certification. "This signifies our commitment to Good Seed and Plant Practices—a global and transparent business chain system dedicated to maintaining hygiene standards in seed production and the propagation of new seedlings. It ensures that our production site's quality management system, work methods, and information supply align with the GSPP standards", the team says.
The GSPP protocols implemented in seed production play a crucial role in minimizing the risk of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm) during the early stages of growth, a critical period when the plant is particularly vulnerable. This strategic approach ensures the cultivation of tomatoes with optimal health and quality from their inception.
During last week's Fruit Logistica, the team was present not only to talk about the GSPP certification but also to showcase their range of Indeterminate tomatoes, specially cultivated for both commercial fruit production and the hobby market.
"In addition to our Indeterminate tomatoes, we presented our collection of dwarf varieties for vertical farms and greenhouse fruit and plant production. These compact plants are tailored to thrive in controlled environments, offering an innovative solution for efficient and space-conscious farming."
