From 11 to 14 June 2024, the 20th edition of FlowerTrials® will take place. Selecta one uses the FlowerTrials platform to showcase the current highlights of its range.In the anniversary year 2024, Selecta will once again be presenting plants, lots of flowers, bright colors and concepts from the bedding and balcony plant, pot carnation and perennial ranges. Following last year's premiere, Selecta Cut Flowers will again show selected products from its cut flower program.
Selecta one welcomes visitors at the FlowerTrials location Kwekerij Bloem en Tuin, Oudecampsweg 4, 2678 KN De Lier/NL, where Evanthia will also be exhibiting again.
Selecta welcomes to an informative event with a variety of presentations and display areas. Theassortment will be on display in various product forms. The Verbena Drums, Osteospermum Type 252 and Calibrachoa MiniFamous Oro Double series, which according to Selecta are known for their compact and homogeneous varieties, will be shown in realistic POS situations. Trixi, the new AlpeTunia petunias and the upgraded dahlia range Dalaya will be presented in hanging baskets and large containers.

"ONE in Dianthus - the Selecta carnation program stands for leading brands, proven varieties, and innovative new launches. Aura, last season's new introduction, has been given its own marketing concept and now pairs up with the variety Colón. Both varieties impress with their radiant colour with a white edge, vigorous upright growth and good branching. Oscar®, the most homogeneous series on the market, is being expanded to include the 'Antique Pink' variety in nostalgic pink with a lighter-coloured edge and now comprises a total of 19 varieties. The successful Pink Kisses brand also takes center stage at the carnation presentation. Following on the successful 'Pink Your Garden' media campaign, Pink Kisses will be showcased in the 2024 campaign Pink Match! as a recognizable symbol for friendship dates. The new, exclusive Lucky Lips brand concept, which is currently being launched in many European countries, will also be presented.

The company says: "The intergeneric series 'The Power Sisters' combines the best of Calibrachoa and petunias: Large, early flowers, good branching, and bright colours as well as good summer performance and high rain tolerance. The Power Sisters are Pretty Pam (pink), Wonder Wendy (white) and Bandit Betty (blue), and new in 2024 Red Runa (red). They are also available as a Trixi combination.
The new Mandevilla, which is marketed under the name 'Divina' with its own marketing concept, stands for beauty and radiant elegance on the balcony and in the garden. Subdivided into Compact, Climbing and Uni, each series offers special advantages for end products in various shapes and pot sizes. They all impress with their growth and magnificent colours.
Lantanas from the Sun Juana series defy the sun, require little water and present their extraordinary colors. The Playa Sun Juana variety impresses with its special play of colors - yellow, orange, pink and magenta. It stands out with its large flowers, strong branching and round structure, as well as its easy-care character.
With Planta Morgana, we have the answer to an increased demand for flowering plants that cope well to very well in hot and dry summers - an attractively designed concept with varieties tested for drought tolerance for a future-proof assortment."

Selecta is presenting two other crops that are suitable both as flowering houseplants and as outdoor plantings. Kaleida, Selecta's Kalanchoe series, includes single and double flowering varieties that according to Selecta are characterized by large flowers, bright colours, a rich, long-lasting flowering habit, and strong branching.
KoSea is the new Campanula perennial series in the Selecta range. "The three varieties in blue and white are compact and easy to grow, can be used in a variety of ways and also look great as decorative plants in interiors. Two perfect year-round plants."
Traditionally, all FleuroStar candidates will be exhibited at the Selecta location and the Stuttgart-based breeder's own entry will also be on display for the first time at the FlowerTrials. As host of the FleuroStar Award Evening, Selecta will be organizing the gala dinner and the announcement of the new FleuroStar winner on June 13, 2024.
