Alstroemeria grower Together2Grow has introduced recycled sleeves. The company produces 30 million stems a year.
The company is taking ambitious steps in 2025: from applying insect netting for chemical-free cultivation and Full LED lighting to an upcoming geothermal heat project. With these measures, the choice of recycling sleeves is a logical step in Together2Grow's strategy.
A part of the Charm range will be the first to shine in these new, eco-friendly sleeves. Charm is one of the Decorum lines and is inspired by one of the most long-lasting Alstroemerias, the Charmelia.
The sleeves were produced by packaging supplier Paardekoper. The Recy Clear sleeves are crystal clear, fully printable, and made from recycled plastic waste (rOPP35 70%).
"We are reducing our environmental impact by demonstrably making our range more sustainable and by developing smart, circular packaging, packaging systems, and services. We are working to improve our footprint, both of the organization and the supply chain,'' said Chris Thurston, Account Manager at the supplier.
