From January to November 2024, Kazakhstan's flower exports to Russia increased 50 times, reaching 28,000 tons, according to the Kazakh Customs Service. The Netherlands supplied 32,000 tons of flowers to Russia in the same period.
In 2023, Kazakhstan exported only 552 tons of flowers to Russia, making the country now a key market for Kazakh floral exports. Roses were in the highest demand, accounting for 97% of shipments. Other flowers included 612.4 tons of chrysanthemums, 6.8 tons of orchids, 124.4 tons of carnations, and 22.1 tons of lilies.
