Anyone shopping at Anderson Florist and Greenhouse in the past couple of months will probably have noticed some new faces there. That's because on May 28, Steve and Jackie Ruprecht signed the papers to become the business' new owners.
And they want local gardeners to know that they're here to stay.
"I think that a lot of people over the past year and a half or so saw the big sign out there and got really concerned that Anderson was shutting down," Jackie said. "I just want people to know we are here, we are open, and we are excited to have you come in, so please come and visit us."
Jackie said she has known former owners Rodney and Lori Shultz since she was a kid.
"I was very good friends with their middle daughter Heather when we were in elementary school, so I spent time playing in their hay barn and hanging out at their farm before they took over Anderson."
