The Poinsettia season is now in full swing. This year, the plant is getting extra attention at major consumer fairs and in the media. After a successful presentation earlier this month at the Libelle Winter Fair in Mechelen, Belgium, the Poinsettia is now taking center stage at the Margriet Winter Fair in 's-Hertogenbosch.
This visibility is part of the international Stars for Europe (SfE) campaign, which aims to stimulate sales throughout the entire chain, from breeder and propagator to grower, wholesaler, retail, and ultimately the consumer.
The campaign is gaining momentum as we head toward Poinsettia Day on 12 December. Over the coming weeks, the Christmas Star will be widely featured on Dutch television, including the program De Grote Tuinverbouwing, as well as in magazines, special winter editions, and online lifestyle content. Social media will be filled with DIY and styling ideas that showcase how versatile the plant can be. All of this fuels demand at retail level and sends a positive ripple effect all the way back up the chain.

European cooperation, local impact
Stars for Europe demonstrates the power of international collaboration: breeders join forces and have agencies like Concept Factory roll out a single, integrated campaign across Europe. This provides growers, retailers, and florists with effective tools to boost sales, while consumers everywhere receive the same powerful message.
