Plantipp presents a fresh line-up of new plants at IPM

As the new year gets underway, the international green industry turns its focus to IPM. Plantipp will present a strong collection of new varieties that reflect current demand for character, structure, and reliable garden performance.

At this year's trade show, visitors can explore a diverse selection of new introductions spanning climbers, shrubs, trees, perennials, grasses, and architectural plants. Each variety brings its own ornamental strength, from flowering impact and foliage interest to compact growth and clear garden value.

Refined clematis introductions
Clematis takes centre stage with four distinctive introductions with outstanding garden performance. Clematis Eliza ('EviGsy158'PBR), Clematis Ithemba ('EviGsy157'PBR) and Clematis Queen's Nurse ('EviGsy159'PBR) are three new Raymond J. Evison introductions, top-performing, free-flowering, and repeat-blooming. These Clematis flower freely over the whole branches from May-July, with a re-bloom in September/ October.

Together with Marginpar, Plantipp also introduces Clematis Amazing Tokyo, bringing a stunning cut-flower with a more contemporary character.

Strong shrubs and flowering structure
Several shrubs add structure and flowering interest to the collection. Arbutus unedo Mercurius ('Bocarm'PBR) stands out with its compact, naturally rounded growth habit. Buddleja davidii Little Rockstars Red ('Botex 009'PBR) introduces compact growth combined with vivid red flowering, suited to smaller spaces and modern planting schemes. Phillyrea angustifolia Grand Prix ('HUGP16'PBR) brings a more architectural note, defined by its narrow leaves and dense habit. Rhododendron Encore Autumn Prince ('Roblezg'PBR) is a new colour in the Encore series, which extends the flowering season with stunning repeat blooms.

Compact trees with high ornamental value
A selection of compact trees and large shrubs adds character and presence. Cercis griffithii Blue Lagoon ('RAFMAR 1'PBR) draws attention with its distinctive foliage colour and elegant branches. Ficus carica Fignomenal ('PT-DF-14'PBR) is an outstanding heavy-fruiting dwarf-fig, suitable for gardens and containers. Magnolia 'Stellar Ruby' PBR completes the group with a strong floral display and a clearly defined growth habit.

Perennials, grasses, and architectural accents
The novelty selection is rounded out with plants that add texture and contrast. Carex oshimensis EverColor Sunsplash ('Fisun' PBR) brings bright, variegated foliage with year-round interest. Rosmarinus Blue Cascade ('Lowros3'PBR) adds a trailing habit with blue flowers, well-suited to containers and ground cover. Yucca 'French Flag' PBR anchors the group with bold, wide, intense blue foliage that turns heads year-round.
