Ethiopian flower industry in the eyes of an investor

The Government of Ethiopia has put a big priority on boosting the country’s main export item agricultural product among them being horticulture and floriculture sectors earning about 245 million USD 12.25 million last Ethiopian fiscal year 2013/14. As part of its aim to boost this industry Ethiopia was host from March 25-27,2015 to the sixth international floriculture and horticulture trade fair at the Millenium Hall, Addis Ababa.

newBusinessEthiopia.com’s Elias Gebreselassie sat down with V.R Remesh, Marketing Manager of Oromia Wonders Private Limited Company which has one of the more colorful stands at the expo to discuss his company’s operations, the challenges and the successes he’s company has scored so far in the country and any expansion plan it has in Ethiopia among a list of questions.
