History
Secretaries Day is a holiday observed in different countries to recognize the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals to any office, small business or large corporation. The day is often celebrated by giving gifts such as flowers, lunch at a restaurant or gift cards. Other employers support the holiday by providing training opportunities for their administrative staff through continuing education, self-study materials, or seminars.
