Malaysia: The Royal Floria awarded with 'Joyce White'

The Royal Floria Putrajaya has been awarded with 'Joyce White' from the World Flower Council International.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the government is very proud to be endorsed with the title.

"We are proud to announce that the World Flower Council International has endorsed our efforts by offering the Joyce White, World Flower Council International Aware of Excellence with USD500 prize money to one of the participants in the Floral Pavillion for outstanding creative excellence," Tengku Adnan said during the launching ceremony of The Royal Floria 2015 here.

Tengku Adnan said the flower event which has been held annually since 2007 has the potential to bring the local horticulture industry to a higher level.

"Floria has the potential to develop and spread its wings even further as a platform for import and export of flowers, networking, information sharing and research to elevate the local landscape and horticulture industry," he said.
