Denmark: The horticultural fair Handelspladsen has a summer's atmosphere of colours and freshness
Fresh salad ready to be picked in both summer and winter
Crisp salad in the window sill or on the kitchen table ready to pick and eat. This new salad makes healthy living very easy.
It is a delicious pleasure to eat a fresh sandwich with crisp salad leaves and the eating experience is now made super easy. The new product has been selected for its ability to thrive and its durability under varying light conditions.
If you only pick the amount of salad that you need for each meal, the rests of the salad stays fresh. If you pick from the bottom it will continue to shoot for several months more. Suitable for both indoor, as well as outdoor, use during summer.
Gentiana in the living room
With its beautiful and pure colour this Gentiana Rocky Diamond® (Gentiana Blue Eternity) radiates light, and it is a lovely new acquaintance for the summer garden or inside the house. This new Gentiana is even well-suited to being a living room plant.
Already in April this little alpine beauty with its luxurious, trumpet-shaped flowers is ready. The joy of the harmonious colour play will be constant during summer and autumn and will be repeated the year after, since Gentiana is a perennial and therefore winter hardy. The main colour is blue (Blue Heart) and white, but it is also available in another two-coloured ranges, i.e. blue and white, rose and white and in two rose shades.
Masdevallia hybrid Bellavallia
A new orchid in a 9 cm pot with a very special bypartite flower and a blossoming abundance of two months. The orchid grows new flowers in yellow, orange or red and will flower up to six months prior to its non-flowering period.
Bellavallia originates from southern Brazil where it thrives in mountain areas of up to 2,500 meters high. This type is found in low areas of the mountains with a temperate climate. The orchid prefers temperatures of 18 degrees, but endures temperatures of up to 25 degrees. It can endure temperatures below 10 degrees and will therefore thrive outside during summer. Bellavallia prefer light conditions, but not direct sunlight and the plant must be watered on a regular basis. Bellavallia will also be produced in a 6 cm pot in spring 2015.
Rosa hybrid
Infinity® rose 'Evergreen'
A very exciting new rose, which will be fun to watch on a daily basis in the living room or in the garden, as the flower buds open up and change their colour from rose to green. The Infinity® rose 'Evergreen' is very special because of its extreme long durability on the green leaves and the unique colour that changes over time. The flower sets off as rose, but changes colour as it grows. It is the extra amount of chloroplast in the petals that gives the flower its green colour and the long durability.
It can be used for indoor decoration and in arrangements.
’Evergreen’ can also be planted out in garden pots and beds.
RosAroma®
This brand-new series of scented roses have been bred in cooperation with leading rose breeders. RosAroma® is the result of many years of interbreeding and more breeding processes with an intense focus on scent and durability. ’Nicole’, which is named after the movie star Nicole Kidman, is a vigorous plant with many flowers and a gradual bloom, so the end-users can enjoy the plant for a long time.
Mystery Lady® is the result of a long breeding work, where each sort in the series is named after famous female stars from the film and music industry. Stars, who over time have kept their star quality for the audience and are symbolized in this Mystery Lady-universe by the long durability of the large and vigorous flowers.
Trifolium repens 'Dark Debbie'
'Dark Debbie' has an almost black foliage, and is a refinement of the extremely popular dark ‘Debbie’ variety.
Trifolium repens 'Leonore'
‘Leonore’ like its sister ‘Estelle’, is named after a little Swedish princess.
Angelica ’Purpurea’
Angelica means angel and is the name of an exciting new plant for the garden with a different and impressive volume. These different flowers will create a dynamic atmosphere in the garden. Angelica is a two-year plant in the parsley family like goutweed, parsnip, fennel, dill and similar herbs.
In the first year the plant will be green and vigorous with large imparipinnate leaves with large-toothed irregular small leaflets. The next year the plant changes rapidly as it blossoms in June and July with small green-yellow flowers in a collected ball of buds at the size of a large tennis ball. The round buds are at the end of the vertical stem, which grows up to 2 meters height.

Visit the horticultural fair Handelspladen in Odense
The above new innovatations can be seen at the trade fair Handelspladsen, which is held on 3rd June at Holkebjergvej 74 in Odense. The fair opens at 9 am and closes at 5 pm and the press is welcome.
