Missouri State University will host a Greenhouse and High Tunnel Workshop in collaboration with University of Missouri Extension and Lincoln University. The event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 3-4 at the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station, 9740 Red Spring Road, Mountain Grove.
The workshop will address several different topics, including basic greenhouse construction and operation, year-round production of hydroponic leafy greens in greenhouses, soilless food crop production in greenhouses and greenhouse insect and disease management.
Participants will also learn about trap cropping and biological control for pest management in high tunnels, fertigation and fertilizer proportioning, bedding plant production, high tunnel production of greens and an overview of high tunnel fruit production.
Registration is $40 per person and includes lunch both days and printed materials.
