Terra Nova Nurseries introduces Begonia Cocoa ‘Enchanted Moonlight’

Terra Nova Nurseries announced a sneak peek of a new variety named Begonia Cocoa ‘Enchanted Moonlight’. Now available to growers seeking information about liner options, this begonia blooms year-round and grows fast. The variety is the newest addition to the company’s Cocoa Series.

Begonia Cocoa ‘Enchanted Moonlight’ stands out from other begonias in multiple ways. A few of its characteristics include: Large, white, hibiscus-like flowers on continuous display, which contrast with the dark, cocoa-brown foliage; an upright habit to 2’ tall; fast growth rate; and finish time of 4” in 4 to 6 weeks. It requires moist soil that is fertile, rich, and contains good porosity.

This flourishing begonia has a large size, including a foliage height of 24”, foliage spread of 14”, and flower height of 24”. It thrives in full shade. It has been bred to serve as a houseplant, and it can also be used in mixed containers or summer shade borders. Even though the most active growing season is summer, this variety flowers in spring, summer, fall, and winter.
