UK: Lego daffodils instead of real ones?

Spring has definitely sprung in Hull city centre, but the flowers in bloom are not all they seem.

In fact, the daffodils which have appeared in King Edward Square are made entirely of Lego. The stunning installation features more than 1,700 individual daffodils, built entirely with Lego Bricks.

The work is part of City of Culture and Hull 2017 hopes the vibrant display will add some fun and colour to Hull.

Martin Green, director of Hull 2017, said: "It's been a great pleasure to see daffodils in bloom across the city and this new and very special bed of flowers will bring a further burst of colour to Hull's beautifully transformed public realm."

"With the Easter holidays upon us it's another wonderful free attraction for residents and visitors alike."

The installation has been put in place with the cooperation of Hull City Council.
