FlowerTrials welcomes visitors from all corners of the world

This week, the Netherlands is the centre of the global floriculture sector as the FlowerTrials attracts growers, suppliers and traders from all corners of the world. The event is expanding year after year and increasingly more companies are participating in the event, and it's not only breeders.

The event attracts many international visitors. On this picture a group of 21 small ornamental growers from Colombia that are visiting all FlowerTrials locations, here they are visiting Benary.

So much to see. For three days now, FloralDaily and our colleagues from bpnieuws.nl are on the road in the Westland and Aalsmeer region.

Ayala Zilberman of Danziger in front of the Amore display, which attracted the attention of many visitors. Amore was introduced last year and is taking a center stage at this year's trials. The amore petunias are known for the heart shapes that are decorating the flower petals.

Eyal Klein of Hishtil presenting the Funtastick Calibrachoa Cherry Tree. It is a new high stem, grafted, ornamental Calibrachoa. This plant is created by grafting herbaceous ornamental Calibrachoa having a short height and bushy growth habit on a rootstock containing a high-single stem.

Ross Ford of PanAmerican Seed presenting the new Plug and Play Combo 'The Flag'. This combination is added to the Plug and Play Combo's that currently consists of over 60 combinations. Together with the seeds, PanAmerican Seed offers a recipe on how to sow and grow these combinations.

Stefanie Günter of Benary presenting the Begonia Nonstop Joy Mocca White. This new white begonia has dark leaves and white flowers. The Nonstop Joy series now consists of 2 colors.

Suppliers
At many breeders, increasingly more suppliers are presenting their services and/or products. On a small area at a breeder's trial location, they have a booth.

Philips, for example, for the first time this company is present at the Dümmen Orange trial location to present their products/services.

Other concurrent events
As the FlowerTrials attracts such a large and international audience, it is a great opportunity for other companies and events to get a piece of the pie. When visiting the FlowerTrials, one can consider visiting one of the following events that are held concurrently:

Floritec organizes flower trials at nursery 'De Landscheiding' in Bleiswijk, The Netherlands. They are presenting their newest spray chrysanthemums, disbuds and santinis. At LV Plant in Monster, the Netherlands, their potplant assortment will be on display. Both locations can be visited till Friday June 16. Click here for more information.

At Vireõ in De Kwakel, the Netherlands, a Retail Fair is being held: 40 Dutch growers are presenting their products. Also this fair can be visited till Friday.

In the 'Historische Tuin' (Historical garden) in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, the focus is on roses at the event called ROOOZ. At this event, rose growers are presenting their products.
